For anyone who wants to immerse themselves in a weekend of infrared, this workshop is for you. Learn the fundamentals of infrared photography, choices for an IR camera conversion or using IR filters, then head out to great locations for field sessions. Learn practical shooting techniques, including long exposure and HDR in infrared. Then, pull things together with processing techniques for faux color and black/white. Experience the magic of infrared - the light we cannot see, and add a new dimension to your photography. Join us for the adventure in the beautiful Low Country of South Carolina.

Georgia Coast Photo Workshop

Richmond Spring Gardens Photo Workshop

If you love spring flowers and gardens, you'll love the locations and opportunities to capture the beauty and variety on this workshop. Highlights include the incredible and diverse Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens (complete with conservatory with orchids and other displays) and Maymont Park with its sprawling gardens throughout the park. Your macro lens will get a workout on this adventure, and you'll learn creative techniques for unique image-making in-camera and in post-processing. Eastern North Carolina Infrared Photo Workshop

Northeastern North Carolina's rural landscape includes working farms and fishing villages and incredible natural areas to explore, including Lake Mattamuskeet NWR. This workshop is an immersion in infrared image making and discovering the rustic beauty of the area. Yes, you can shoot color, but the primary focus of this workshop is infrared photography from capturing images to processing for faux color and black/white. This is a favorite area for me and Mark Hilliard and is perfect for IR. Come join us!

Georgia Grilles & Mills Photo Workshop

November 1-4, 2018, Cartersville, GA

Fee: $550 (workshop only)

If you love the nostalgia of historical grist mills, covered bridges and crunch of old cars, trucks, busses, you'll want to join me and Mark Hilliard for this workshop. We'll spend an entire day at Old Car City USA and visit at least four uniquely photogenic grist mills in the area. We have private access to one mill and many other treasures on the property. These locations are excellent for HDR, infrared and color. "Wabi Sabi" is reflected perfectly in these places. (Note: Registration does include OCC admission.)
