There are
hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of places you can go online
to find information about photography. The links provided below
include those which I have visited and recommend for a variety of
reasons. I hope you find them helpful and wish you a great shooting
experience!
ORGANIZATIONS
Carolinas Nature Photographers
Association (www.cnpa.org)
For those who live in North or
South Carolina (or even in surrounding states), this is a wonderful
group of nature photographers to get connected with. They all love
nature and are passionate about capturing their visions with
photography. There are no minimum shooting requirements to join this
crowd, and we all are happy to share what we know with others. The
Annual Meeting is not to be missed! Check out the web site and see
why!
East Carolina Camera
Club (www.eastcarolinacameraclub.org)
Post Office Box 3140,
Greenville, NC 27834
This camera club meets
on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Pitt County Senior Center
on County Home Road at 7pm. Visit the website or attend a meeting.
You'll find many talented photographers willing to share their
knowledge, time and friendship.
North American Nature
Photographers Association (www.nanpa.org)
NANPA is an awesome
organization brimming with amateur and professional nature
photographers! It reflects a wide range of shooting interests as
well as commitment and dedication to preserving our natural world. .

If you've been seeing
any of the infrared images (faux color and black/white) that I have
been posting over the last year, and you've got an extra camera
you'd like to have converted to be able to shoot IR, Lifepixel is
the company that converted my Nikon D90 and many other models for
the growing group of IR shooters. Their website is brimming with
information that will help you learn more about IR photography and
make a decision on which conversion is right for you. (My conversion
for the D90 was at 590nm, which is what allows me to get such rich
faux color images.) Click
here to get your own camera conversion started.
